Achievement in Research Projects

Turbidity Removal Unit (Department of civil Engineering)

The students from Third year Civil Engineering Department recently worked on an innovative project ‘Turbidity Removal Unit’Prof. Yogendra V. Bachhav guided the project. The unit can remove turbidity from water up to desirable limit, simply by adding capsules made from Moringaoleifera which is a tropical tree found in Western Himalayas. The unit is user friendly and can be used by anyone. According to the initial turbidity the unit directly suggests the no. of capsules to be added in the water for obtaining water with the desirable limit. Students have made a user guide for convenient use of the model. The students participated and won in various national and state level competitions like Young Innovator Awards, MSBTE Project competition, Dipex science exhibition.

Thermoelectric cooler (Department of Mechanical Engineering)

Students from the Mechanical Engineering department submitted an innovative project on ‘Thermoelectric cooler based on working principle of Pelter & seeback effect.’ The model can be used in an automobile car as Amini collar by using the battery supply from a car. Prof. M.M. Deoghare guided the project. The students participated in various national and state level competitions including DIPEX science exhibition.

Zeal Life Saver (Department of Computer Engineering)

“Zeal Life Saver” is an Android application for blood requirement in emergencies. The App will help the people to search the donor of the desired blood group during the emergency. Zeal Life Saver bridges the gap between the blood recipient and blood donors where the donor can find a blood bank near his/her location. The project won 1 National Level and 4 State level prizes. The project was under guidance of Prof. D.D. Rathod.
