1. Review of First Semester

Prof. Manisha Sarode, Prof. Supriya Gaikwad and Prof. Vaishnavi Pawar, discussed the overall academic performance of students with reference to internal assessments, unit tests, practical work, and attendance. Faculty members highlighted students strengths in foundational subjects and practical understanding, while also identifying areas where improvement is required.

2. New Semester Academic Plan

The academic plan for the new semester was discussed in detail with the parents. The examination pattern was explained clearly, including the distribution of internal and external marks. Important academic deadlines for the semester, such as internal examination schedules, practical assessments, submission dates for assignments and projects,were communicated to ensure that students remain well-prepared and organized throughout the semester.

3. Rules & Regulations

Important academic rules and institutional guidelines were discussed with the parents. The minimum attendance requirement as per institute and MSBTE norms was explained, and parents were informed that regular attendance is mandatory for eligibility in examinations.

The importance of carrying a valid college identity card within the campus at all times was emphasized. The prescribed dress code was explained to ensure discipline, uniformity, and a professional academic environment.

College timings, including reporting time and adherence to the daily schedule, were communicated clearly. Parents were informed about the mobile phone usage policy, stating that mobile phones are strictly restricted during lectures, practical sessions, and examinations to maintain academic focus and discipline.

4. Student Support & Mentoring

Prof. Pritam Ghosh discussed the role of parents in supporting students academic progress. Parents were encouraged to regularly monitor their wards study habits at home and to create a supportive learning environment that promotes discipline and consistency.

The importance of regular attendance and active participation in lectures, practical sessions, and academic activities was emphasized to ensure continuous learning and better academic performance.

Parents were also informed about the available communication channels for parent–teacher interaction, including meetings with Guardian Faculty Members, scheduled PTM sessions, and official communication platforms. Regular and timely communication between parents and teachers was highlighted as essential for addressing academic concerns and supporting overall student development.

5. Parent Role & Expectations

Parents were advised to regularly monitor their child’s study routine at home. The importance of regular college attendance was discussed, as it directly affects a student’s academic progress and understanding of concepts.

Parents were also asked to stay in touch with teachers regarding their child’s academic progress, behavior, and any concerns.

Bus Facilities: Parents raised the importance of having a safe, reliable, and well-organized bus facility for students,specially during examination period.

Classroom Distribution of Uniforms: The distribution of college uniforms within classrooms was discussed to ensure convenience and efficiency. Parents emphasized the need for taking accurate measurements of each student before uniform distribution to avoid size-related issues.

Industry-Institute Interaction: Conduct more sessions where parents can understand the industry expectations and how students can align their skills.

Emotional Well-being Programs: Collaborate with professionals to conduct sessions focused on managing stress and emotional challenges.

Parent Orientation Programs: Organize periodic sessions to guide parents on supporting their wards’ academic and personal development.

Improved Communication Channels: Establish more streamlined communication methods between faculty and parents, such as regular newsletters or online portals.

Skill Development Workshops: Arrange additional workshops to help students acquire emerging skills relevant to their career paths.
