National Mathematical Day

Introduction:

The Electronics & Telecommunication (E & TC) Department successfully celebrated National Mathematics Day on 22 December, commemorating the birth anniversary of the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Objective/Purpose:

The objective of the celebration was to highlight the importance of mathematics in engineering, technology, and innovation, and to inspire students to appreciate its real-world applications. .

Execution:

The program commenced with an inaugural session, where the Head of the E & TC Department addressed the students and emphasized the crucial role of mathematics in electronics, signal processing, communication systems, and emerging technologies. As part of the celebration, various activities were organized, including short presentation of importance of mathematics, mathematical model, Rangoli, poster presentations. Students actively participated and demonstrated their analytical and logical skills. A special session was conducted by student to showcase the contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan and how his theories continue to influence modern science and engineering.

Outcomes:

The celebration was well-received and proved to be informative, engaging, and motivating for students.

The National Mathematics Day Celebration was a great success and reinforced the significance of mathematics as a fundamental tool in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
