Venue: College Campus & Nearby Temple Area
Objective/Purpose:
- To promote environmental awareness among students.
- To encourage water conservation by reusing leftover water.
- To develop respect and cooperation with cleaning staff.
- To instill social responsibility through community cleanliness activities.
Execution:
The E & TC Department organized a social awareness activity focusing on environmental conservation and community service. Students actively participated in multiple initiatives.
Firstly, students collected unused or remaining water from bottles and utilized it for watering plants within the college premises. This activity highlighted the importance of avoiding water wastage and promoting sustainable habits.
Secondly, students worked collaboratively with the cleaning staff to clean classrooms, corridors, and the overall campus. This helped students understand the dignity of labour and appreciate the efforts of the support staff.
Additionally, students conducted a cleanliness drive at a nearby temple. They cleaned the surrounding area, collected waste, and spread awareness about maintaining hygiene in public places.
The activity was successful in promoting environmental awareness and social responsibility among students. Such initiatives help in building responsible citizens and encourage sustainable practices in daily life.
