Objective/Purpose:

1. To understand the construction and functioning of a gravity dam.
2. To study the hydropower generation process using water turbines.
3. To observe the generator, governor, and control systems used by MAHAGENCO.
4. To understand safety practices followed in hydroelectric power plants.
5. To relate theoretical knowledge with actual industrial operations.
