Zeal Polytechnic, Pune achieved notable recognition when a student team secured Second Prize in the Polytechnic Students Group category at the National Level Project Competition “Innovation 2k25,” organized by Phaltan Education Society’s College of Engineering, Phaltan, on 09 October 2025. The team presented an innovative project titled “Smart Gloves for Sign Interpretation,” which employs sensorbased technology to translate sign language gestures into readable or audible output, thereby enhancing communication for hearing- and speech-impaired individuals. The project was highly appreciated by the judges for its innovation, social relevance, and practical implementation. The award winning team comprised Pradnya Vasant Dolas, Vaishnavi Santosh Kande, Kavyanjali Yogesh Chaudhari, Sakshi Suhas Pharande, and Lisha Shimpi, whose achievement reflects their dedication, creativity, and technical excellence.
