Sohala 2026 Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at Zeal Institutes

Zeal Education Society, Pune successfully organized Shivjayanti Sohala 2026 on 19th February 2026 (Thursday) at the Zeal campus, Narhe, Pune, with immense pride, devotion, and patriotic spirit.

The program was conducted to commemorate the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the visionary founder of Hindavi Swarajya, and to inspire students with his values of leadership, courage, justice, and good governance.

Inaugural Ceremony

The celebration began at 2:00 PM with the ceremonial arrival of Shivjyot and traditional poojan. This was followed by Shiv Vandana, Abhishek, and Murti Pujan, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere across the campus.

Creative Rangoli Presentation

Campus-Wide Thematic Rangoli  – Depicting Shivaji Maharaj’s Jeevan Gatha

A major highlight of the celebration was the extraordinary Rangoli prepared by students across the campus.Students artistically designed and displayed large-scale Rangolis in front of each and every building, beautifully portraying significant episodes from the life (Jeevan Gatha) of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The Rangoli artworks depicted:

  1. The childhood of Shivaji Maharaj and guidance of Rajmata Jijau
  2. Establishment of Swarajya
  3. Historic battle scenes symbolizing courage and strategy
  4. The coronation ceremony (Rajyabhishek)
  5. The spirit of self-respect and protection of the nation

Some Rangolis showcased powerful battle moments with remarkable detailing, vibrant colors, and life-like expressions, reflecting the bravery, determination, and visionary leadership of Shivaji Maharaj.

The entire campus was transformed into a living canvas of history. The creativity, teamwork, dedication, and artistic excellence displayed by the students were highly appreciated by faculty members and visitors alike.

Grand Shivpalakhi Procession

At 4:00 PM, a grand Shivpalakhi procession was organized with traditional musical instruments, lezim performances, and enthusiastic participation from students and staff members. The entire campus resonated with patriotic slogans and cultural pride.

Cultural and Historical Performances

A special highlight of the event was the historical mega stage presentation titled “Janata Raja”, performed with the participation of nearly 150 artists. The performance depicted significant moments from the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and received overwhelming appreciation from the audience.

In addition, a Sahasik Mardani Khel (traditional martial art performance) was showcased, reflecting the valor and warrior spirit of the Maratha era.
