Blood Donation

A Blood Donation Camp was organized by E&TC Department of Zeal Polytechnic Pune in association with Sassoon Government hospital Pune. A team of 16 doctors and nurses of Sassoon Government hospital came for collection of blood. On an occasion of World Heart Day and National Voluntary Blood Donation Day at CSMA HALL, D BUILDING. The camp began at 10:00 A.M with a short inaugural function by Chief Guest of the Blood Donation Camp, honorable Prof. Ayub Tamboli (Principal , Zeal Polytechnic , Narhe) and expressed his gratitude to the Civil Department of Zeal Polytechnic for its continuous endeavor in this regard.

Objective/Purpose:
To collects blood units but also to make students aware about blood and its benefits. It was an effort to motivate students & Staff to come forward and donate for this noble cause. First time donors need to be encouraged so that once theinitial hesitation/ fear goes away, the donor will look forward to such camps in near future too. To help anyone, in case of any requirement for blood.

Outcomes:
Blood donation activities at Zeal Polytechnic promote student engagement in community health initiatives, fostering a culture of altruism and social responsibility among students. By providing a platform for students to donate blood, the polytechnic contributes to saving lives, enhancing emergency preparedness, and reinforcing the importance of philanthropy in the student body.
