Summary / Report:
The “MaTPO Aptitude Idol – 2025” was organized by the Maharashtra Association of Training & Placement Officers (MaTPO) in collaboration with GeeksforGeeks (GFG) on 04th September 2025. The event aimed at enhancing the problem-solving and aptitude skills of students across Maharashtra.
The aptitude contest received a huge response with 16,520 registrations from students of First Year to Final Year across BE, ME, Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate courses. The test was conducted online under the supervision of TPOs, HODs, and faculty at respective colleges. Attendance of students was taken in the prescribed format, and scanned copies were uploaded via Google Form. Colleges were also asked to share photographs of students while appearing for the test.
The aptitude test had a duration of 60 minutes and covered reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and problem-solving skills. The initiative created a state-level platform for students to assess their capabilities and prepare for placement drives and higher-level competitions.
Objective / Purpose:
- To enhance the aptitude and problem-solving skills of students.
- To provide a competitive platform for students across Maharashtra.
- To encourage students from FE to BE, Diploma, UG & PG courses to actively participate.
- To promote the importance of aptitude in placements, competitive exams, and career growth.
Outcomes:
- Participation of 16,520+ students from across Maharashtra.
- Students developed awareness of aptitude test patterns and competitive skills.
- Improved confidence, analytical thinking, and time management.
- Encouraged students to prepare for placements and competitive examinations.
- Strengthened coordination between TPOs, faculty, and students at institutional and state level.
